@steipete Then again, angry customers are nothing new. 😀

@steipete I really wish you could have experienced software development in its Golden Age; the 1990’s. Times are much different.
@steipete How dare you!
@chris_hawk Yep. Sure was. They were all from a persons account. All class.
@chris_hawk I may be a Visio vet but I wasn’t a “rock star”. Also, the Mac is a much different beast.
@nickgundry @irms @Oreo She should be in some kind of Oreo hall of fame.
@Alyssa_Milano @washingtonpost @realDonaldTrump The man’s is full of shit, or his brain is addled. Take your pick.
@daverpvb Excellent choice. Cheers! 🍺
@snapeeds Did all of Office move to India or just Visio?
I was grateful @agrianinc made an offer. I love the place, my work, and more importantly — the people.
When I was in the market for a job I sent my resume everywhere I thought I’d love to work.
The Omni Group, Panic, and The Icon Factory sent me really nice rejection letters. I appreciated that, even though it bummed me out.
Twitter and Medium ignored me.
I’ve applied at Adobe. Never heard back from them.
I’ve worked for Microsoft twice. Once via the Visio acquisition. I’ve also failed interviews there.
I’ve interviewed at Apple a few time. Never received a job offer. It’s hard to get in. Not impossible, just hard.
I’ve been following a couple folks as they go through the painful process of getting a job. You have to stay confident. It’s hard to do.
Sometimes it’s the little things about an app I love. The use of vi style keys in Reeder for instance.
@lapcatsoftware @steipete Jeff, I went through this same rollercoaster in 2014. I finally found a great employer that hired me. You’ll get there.
@lapcatsoftware @steipete You’re going to have failures, Jeff. It’ll take a few interviews to really be ready for these things.
@skunkwurx @kreastham @cmkonrad These guys copied you! I hope you’re getting some kind of fee for your UX work?
Watching our kittens play is like watching an MMA event. They know Brazilian Jiu-jitsu.
@steipete @lapcatsoftware All very good points, from both sides.
@steipete @lapcatsoftware This is a fascinating conversation. Thanks guys.
@steipete @lapcatsoftware Peter, what is someone gave you access to their code so you could look through it? Would that be useful to you as an employer?
