@steipete Oh, and thanks for the reply! šŸ˜€

@steipete That’s what I figured I’d end up doing. On Mac and iOS it’s quite easy. On Windows it’s less obvious to, which is very ironic given my history. I want the Windows app to be UWP, not Windows API based.

@steipete Are you guys sqlite on Windows? I just want to use it from my C++ code directly, seems reasonable to use it directly. Question is, did you build from scratch or use a package of some sort? Thanks!

@Schwieb I’m not sure why I’m so obsessed with portability layers, but I am. Have been for years and years. I find them to be fun and challenging. I’d planned on shipping my app at the end of 2018, may take longer. :-)

@Schwieb This fits with my thinking on the matter, thanks for sharing. In 2011 I wrote my thoughts up. What you’ve just said is extremely helpful. iam.fahrni.me/2011/07/02/reu…

@Schwieb Are folks using your C++ frameworks with C++/WinRT or are the applications straight Windows API apps? I’m working on a shared framework for my apps and I’m curious what direction you guys took on Windows. Thanks!

@gte 44.

@billsaysthis šŸ‘šŸ¼ Will do.

Yawn. The Patriots won another AFC Championship. Let’s go NFC. Can someone please knock these guys off. This is getting boring.

@billsaysthis Is it? I haven’t followed it that closely to be honest. I’d like to have a great rail system.

Great discussion about Panic pulling Transmit from the App Store. Great points from all. Worth a listen if you’re an iOS and/or Mac developer. castro.fm/episode/gtcmW2

So many new things in C++ these days. It’s like learning a brand new language. I have so many questions about the std namespace and OS support. E.G. Does atomic use the Interlocked* functions of the Windows API or something else all together? The Mac headers point to atomic.

I see this here, in the San Joaquin Valley. People don’t want high speed rail because it costs money to build. They don’t consider anything but themselves. twitter.com/MrAlanCooper/s…

So pathetic. Imagine Americans fleeing the country because the government is hunting them down. Papers please. twitter.com/jessesingal/st…

@b_turner Good one.

@gte 44.

@john_chilmark Question is, how do we move these things forward? I wrote about it back in August after a frustrating time locating some medical records. iam.fahrni.me/2017/08/17/my-…

@jackbrewster We have a kitten, Flynn, that likes to crawl up on my shoulders.

@john_chilmark Hey, John. Thanks for the reply. This is one more thing that needs sorting out. These systems shouldn’t be profit centers. They should be open standards with the connections where they need to be.

The healthcare system desperately needs an update. A patient centered approach where we control the flow of our data. Docs and hospitals ask us, we approve or disapprove. twitter.com/john_chilmark/…

Thank you .@dnanian. SuperDuper! is amazing. Just upgraded my 256GB SSD to 1TB SSD and it was easy thanks to your software. šŸ‘šŸ¼

@holly Awwww… kitties love boxes. 😻
