@daveverwer Congratulations, Dave. This is a really big deal and it’s not easy to do.

@coreload @kevinvavelin Does that mean I can use a channel to make use of my C++ code? Please, tell me more! :-)

@cabel Congratulations, you crazy kids!

@bHcraigv Are you going?

@billsaysthis 😳 No, just The Talkshow at WWDC.

@tgaul Ahhhh, I thought it was going to be on his site.

@tgaul Heh, based on the site it doesn’t look like he ever linked to it. 😯

Ok, WWDC folk, what’s happening on Tuesday? It would be nice to hang out with some folks.

I hadn’t planned on going to San Jose this year, guess I’m going on Tuesday at least.

@tgaul That’s exactly what I did. :-)

WOO HOO! GOT A TICKET!

.@daringfireball is being fireballed.

@OluseyiSonaiya Sure, remove some friction points. I could see that, but it’s still just Cocoa for a different form factor. It’s not like you’re going from iOS to Windows (a true port.)

I’ll go against the grain here and say we don’t need a single framework to do Mac and iOS Apps. Some unification would be nice. If you want to do work for the Mac learn AppKit, it’s still Cocoa.

@supertopsquid Was holding down fast forward to move quickly through a podcast disabled intentionally or was it accidentally changed by the new streaming engine?

@jdalrymple @film_girl @theloop It would be super nice if they could break up the iTunes monolith into a few smaller apps. Heck, they could keep iTunes as is, just do a Music app. They have tons of code to leverage, it’s gobs of portable C++ code so they could build Mac and Windows apps.

@billsaysthis That tweet didn’t do what I expected. I expected it to link to Gruber but I guess he had linked to the tweet.

Doctors visits are patient hostile. It’s not the healthcare, it’s the administrative stuff. My doc now requires I fill out a card with each visit. That’s just silly.

“Web developers, generally speaking, are terrible at their craft. 124 JavaScript files and over 500 HTTP requests for a single goddamn web page is just shameful.” twitter.com/fr3ino/status/…

@bhansmeyer Is it the same AVPlayerItem? Is it allowed to call addObserver multiple times? Maybe I just misread what you’re saying?

@whakkee Yeah, that would be my biggest fear as well.

@RebeccaSlatkin No. They’re just going to use C++ for everything now. 🧐

@bhansmeyer Did you get your observer issue figured out?

I love the hope of this but it’s difficult to chuck out all those years of work, but it sure would be great! twitter.com/LouisDhauwe/st…
